Football Coaches Hall of FameBiography
American football, basketball, and baseball player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Texas Christian University from 1934 to 1952, compiling a record of 109?79?13. His TCU Horned Frogs football teams of 1935 and 1938 have been recognized as national champions. Meyer was also the head basketball coach at TCU from 1934 to 1937, tallying a mark of 10?37, and the head baseball coach at TCU (1926?1934, 1945, 1956?1957), amassing a record of 111?83?1. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach in 1956.
